Manuela Gostner was born on 19 May 1984 in Bolzano. Together with her siblings Corinna and David she grew up in Caldaro, a typical little town in the heart of the alps of Alto Adige, Italy. Manuela is mother of two adorable girls and was a successful volleyball and beach volleyball player. In the meantime, her brother David and her father Thomas made their debut in the Ferrari Challenge with the MP Racing Team. As you can imagine, it was them to give her an understanding of motor sports.
In 2014 David (European Champion Ferrari Challenge Coppa Shell) invited Manuela to join him in his Ferrari 458 Challenge during a test day. After some rounds being the co-driver, Manu took the wheel. It was love at first sight. At this specific moment, she realized she wanted to be a racing driver in her future!
Thanks to the head of the MP Racing Team Massimo Pepe, who thought Manu and Corinna the very first basics of driving, the sisters debuted in the Ferrari Challenge Coppa Shell with a Ferrari 458 Challenge 560HP.
During the next two years, Manu participated in her first championships, always supported by her Driver Coach Giorgio Sernagiotto. In two years’ time, Manu has impressed with her constant development and her speed, which resulted in being one of the 10 best drivers of the Ferrari Challenge Coppa Shell World Championship.
These were surprising results for Manuela, who has captured the racing world. Her success doesn’t only come from her determination and her dedication, but also from her cheerful character, her athleticism and, not to forget, from being a loving mother.
In 2017, actually, she has to face two important obligations. First, the Ferrari Challenge Coppa Shell with the brand new Ferrari 488 Challenge Turbo and second, the first important commitment beyond the Ferrari family: the GT4 European Championship driving the Maserati Granturismo MC EVO GT4 of the Factory Team Villorba Corse, which has chosen Manu as a driver of recognition.
